AstraCare - General Services
As we age, our bodies just can’t protect us from injury or illness as efficiently as they once could. However, that does not mean that you should be forced to stop living independently. AstraCare believes that everyone deserves the level of personal freedom and independence that they have always enjoyed. Even as patients age or develop health issues, we think that you should still be able to live at home.
In-Home Health Care
Our dedicated care professionals provide both around-the-clock and hourly supervision for those struggling with frailty, activities of daily living, loneliness, stroke and advanced dementia or Alzheimer’s. We also provide services to those residing in a nursing home, assisted living or independent living facilities. Our professional caregivers undergo extensive screening and training process, verifying all licenses and certifications. Our team includes skilled and certified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s), Registered Nurses (RN’s), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) and Home Health Aides(HHA’s). We maintain an intimate and personal rapport with each of our clients. We do not require a long-term contract for services and remain on-call 24 hours a day.

BENEFITS OF IN-HOME HEALTH CARE
There are many benefits of in-home care which allows your loved ones to stay in their own home, in surroundings they know and love, while they age with dignity.
Generally seniors are reluctant to leave their own home unless absolutely necessary. If medically feasible, in-home care is often the best option because it allows your loves ones to stay in a safe, familiar environment where they’re happy and settled.
Studies show that as seniors age their greatest fear is loss of independence.
In-home care is a significantly more affordable option than nursing homes and other independent living options.
Safety & Peace of Mind
In-home care allows you to maintain safety as all times. Your caregiver will provide one-on-one supervision to manage the personal, emotional and medical wellbeing of your loved one as well as keep family informed on a daily basis.
Home care is a flexible solution, allowing your loves one to have as little or as much care as they need. This flexibility makes home care an excellent option.
Personalized care is not available in institutional health care environments where staff have a high volume of people to focus on at any one time. In contrast, in-home care is completely tailored to the individual needs of your loved.
In-Home care allows your loved one to maintain their routines and role in their community, interacting with friends and family in a familiar environment as they normally would.
Maintaining routine helps keep seniors alert and involved and can help combat the onset of disorientation associated with memory loss.
